Safety behind the wheel.

Often the “workplace” is the driving seat of a vehicle. An employee who drives 50,000 km / year with the company car at 60 km/h on average, actually spends 104 8-hour days / year behind the wheel.

It is therefore essential, also in compliance with legislative obligations (in Italy Legislative Decree 81/2008 concerning the improvement of the safety and health of workers in the workplace), to guarantee theoretical and practical training for employees who intensively use a company vehicle.

Since 1997 Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura has developed the first specific courses on the national market for companies and institutions equipped with car fleets, whichinterpreted the contents of the Law, anticipating the most appropriate answers.

The goal: improving the driving safety of the traveling staff, a fundamental asset of the Companies, with further benefits on the protection and good preservation of the company car fleet.

In Italy tax concessions are also provided for companies that make investments to improve work safety.

The standard agenda of the course includes the arrival at the racetrack at 8:45 and the end of the activities by 17:30.

The exercises carried out in Safe Driving Courses are:

Correct driving setting

First session of track laps, with practical application of the concepts previously presented during the theory session.

Miniskid car

Mechanical device that causes a rear skid at low speed, that has to be controlled with the correct steering and accelerator management technique.

Emergency braking with avoidance of sudden obstacle

Emergency braking simulation on artificially wet surfaces. A luminous device determines the sudden and casual need to dodge an obstacle and special photocells detect the travel speed near the braking starting point.

Driving on the track with Driver-Instructor on board

Track laps sessions to increase the in-depth analysis of individual driving techniques: setting the curve trajectories, braking modulation, use of the accelerator, correct use of the engine’s torque-power.

Slide Machine

Pneumatic plate that causes a sudden skidding of the car in transit, simulating a random-direction side impact that has to be controlled on a low adherence surface, artificially wet.
