Workforces that drive vehicles for Institutions and Public Organisations have to face driving a vehicle in critical conditions on a daily basis. Conditions can prove awkward both in terms of highly hazardous situations caused by external factors (an example of this kind of workforce would be the police in general), and the environment in which one has to work (e.g. Civil Defence forces). In this context, many have chosen to place their trust in the experience and professionalism of the Centre as a means of improving safety and quality of driving at all levels. As a further addition to the normal procedures of the Safe Driving Courses, years of experience in staging personalised Driving Courses have enabled the Centre to develop new exercises which faithfully reproduce the most critical conditions facing staff of Institutions and Public Organisations. Thus the Course type is personalised according to the most diverse needs. Indeed, within the framework of the various kinds of courses and depending on the specific requests of those commissioning the courses, sessions have been organised in defensive driving, driving a four-wheel drive, driving to neutralise vehicles in pursuits, driving on surfaces with very low grip, night driving, exercises in driving combined with shooting using a pistol equipped with laser sights and computerised targets and telemetric analysis of the behaviour of the driver at the wheel. In detail, the most significant training experiences carried out by the Centro Internazionale Guida Sicura have thus far been for: 1. the Penitentiary Police; |
